The Boxing Training Routines - How to Ready for Sparring

There is lot of information about the boxing training routines and exercises on internet. But i recommended that you should get an training routine and then get full command on it and look forward for more. Two things you must remember is, do more next day from previous day and second you don't be sting from one hole two times. Learn from you past and don't repeat the same failure again and again. So first of all, the training equipment and routines you must know and remember are the following,

Do practice on that these may fix into your nervous system....


1. The Mirror Exercises

Mirror, its the most important equipment that you need first. Every exercises you done in your home or gym. You should fix an mirror in front of you and see your exercises and get mistakes by yourself for improvement. Every sportsman, as interior sports like Bodybuilding, Boxing etc must need an mirror in front of the players when they exercises. Get feedback about your footwork, guards, punches by yourself. Point out the mistakes and mirror is the best equipment for the self-correction in boxing. So you need a big mirror which you will fix on a wall where you are training.

2. Equipment Training

After the mirror, know you need a solid apparatus like wooden board, sandbag, double bag or speed bag to continue and get more accurate results from your work. Be focused on your footwork and sandbag training. It will increase the accuracy of your training and you will get more accurate results. Because just mirror is not enough you need equipments, solid equipment where you make a target and punch accurately to increase power and upper body mobility.

3. Partner Or Coach Drills


At this stage, you are preparing yourself for a real fight. You need a coach who weared gloves pads and you should hit on the target area of the pads. It increase confidence and make your mind and body ready before the real sparring with an opponent. Know your footwork and sandbag all upper explained exercises will apply on a live coach pads to get more accurate and correct result.

4. Counterpunching Drills


Your coach taught you, how to counter the opponent powerful punches and defence your body and face. In this case, your partner punch on your face in slightly slow motion and you need to move your head and punch back to your opponent or partner.

5. Conditioning, Situation or Isolation Sparring

Know your are a little bit far from a real boxing fight where both boxers are ready to show their game. In condition sparring (fight) you and your opponent hit each other like in real fight but with low speed or low body damaging or with caring each other. Hits are real but the damaging are little bit.

6. Sparring




Know after the above training, you are ready to fight with an real opponent like a real fight. You and your opponent hit harder on each other to prove who is best in game. In sparring the knockouts punches are thrown and may be one boxer may get knockdown and real damage. So, i explain the above all training continuum like exercises, sandbag, footwork, counter punching, coach drills, double bag, speed bag and other stomach exercises that increase endurance and tolerance.
